I bought a Freeland Tripod & zoom head from you on 6/7/17 order #74483. It was one of my better purchases. I'm a long time prone and position shooter so I know the value of a quality scope mount that is easy to move up & down as well as a tripod with ease of set up and stable enough to not turn over from the weight of the scope itself or from wind. I had been using another scope holder that came loose everytime I used it. Nor did it have an external up and down adjustment. The scope was too heavy for it so I had to watch how I set it up as well as how many scope poles or it would turn over. I was despairing that I would Ever get another quality set-up like I had as a prone/4P shooter. Then I was looking for something else and came upon your Freeland setup. I knew immediately that it was exactly what I had been looking for and bought it! It is perfect! Thank you! Roger Estes

Great Tripod

This tripod works very well! It only comes with the one rod section, but I plan to use it for spotting while prone shooting, so that is all I need for now. It is solid and holds my Pentax PF-80ED spotter scope with no problems. When the scope is not mounted, there is nothing to hold the adapter hardware to the mount, so I put a hex nut on the end of the mounting screw to keep everything in place.

Am very happy with this tripod - right now I just use it with the one included rod section for spotting with an 80mm Pentax scope while shooting prone. The array of washers and spacers that hold the scope to the zoom head will not stay on the mount when the scope is not mounted, so I use a hex nut to keep them in place until it is time to use it.
