Creedmoor Leather Competition Military Rifle Sling
Here is an 8-9 oz. heavy leather military rifle style sling with a 50 inch long strap to better accommodate the shooter when used in the loop position. The sling has heavy stitching, three rivet brass claws and a metal box ring for use below the bottom keeper to take the pressure off the keeper when used in the loop mode. This rifle sling is also ideal for rugged use by any sportsman on his hunting rifle.

Inexpensive military leather sling.
Jan 31, 2018It is a beautiful sling, with a deep reddish brown color. At .142", it is not as thick as the more expensive ones (.190") but it is strong enough good for carrying a light hunting rifle, or M4 without adding much weight for extended periods . It should last with moderate use and proper care for the leather, specially in humid environments. In addition, it is ideal for a young beginning competitive High Power shooter on a budget. I use mine on an Anschutz 22LR sporter, it is a beautiful sling on a beautiful rifle.

Wood Stock Sporting Rifle Sling
Dec 2, 2017Very nice sling. Purchased this sling with intent to use on my sporting / hunting bolt action rifle.
Fills the ticket perfectly. Serious Clark Gable look. If you own a nice wood stock hunting rifle in these days of plastic. This sling is a very nice touch. IMHO the light weight of this sling is an advantage on a field rifle. Plus it is sort of pre brook in compared to a heavy 1907 Turner sling which takes a season of competition before they loosen up.
I have wiped the shinny brass furniture down with a citric acid solution to speed up patina. For a cammo effect. Brass will never have a rust issue as does steel dogs.
To properly mount this sling on a hunting rifle you need big sling loops. Commonly called heavy duty or military.
This beautifully brown polished sling has the same 1907 setup as my familiar to me competition sling. Which means I do not need to learn a new trick to use it.

Sep 3, 2016The glove is great no slipping. How ever, the 50" sling is great too if your not 6'-4" tall. The sling for me needs to be no less than 54". Just not good for the tall person

Dec 11, 2015The sling I received had a high gloss burgundy type red color, which might be better for a parade etc. Overall the sling is of high quality. I was able to apply two coats of Neatsfoot oil to darken the color.
