Variable Focus Lens technology for true multifocal capabilities. Natural focusing from post to target and all those points in-between. NOT affected by slight changes of angle, perpendicular to the front post. This advantage allows the MISO lens to be easily adapted to the M1A rear sight. The MISO Lens is a single aspheric lens utilizing Variable Focus Lens Technology that creates a multifocal effect that brings near, intermediate and distance objects into focus at the same time. Simultaneous vision principles allow natural focusing at all distances from post to target and all those points in between. The lens optical center must be positioned directly in front of the pupil for best results at all distances. However, the image clarity through the lens is not affected by slight changes of angle, perpendicular to the front sight. This advantage allows the MISO Lens to be adapted to the M1A rear sight. High definition optics are incorporated for sharper image contrast and color and AR coated to maximize lens performance. The MISO lens is the best balance of powers to maximize a clear post and target aiming system without reducing the target image.

Outstanding function and support

Haven't been able to shoot irons beyond 200 due to failing sight picture, which may be mostly attributed to age? (72). My first attempt at 600 with my M1A was somewhat disappointing - the o-rings, lens and retainer popped out on the second shot bouncing off my glasses and landing on the mat. Called Creedmoor which led me to Ironsightoptics. Got a very quick reply from David, explained my situation and he provided (manufactured?) three sets of retainer rings 2, 4 & 6 thousands larger than the standard that comes with the kit. The middle one fit perfectly and I finally got out to try it yesterday. 35 shots and nothing budged! And the best part is that through the hairy looking aperture (.0595) I was excited to get a good sight picture! Thank you David (and your VP Teri) for the outstanding support.

This is my second Miso lens because the first one worked very well to improve my front sight and target clarity for my M1. This one also has helped me improve my front sight and target clarity when shooting.

I actually purchased two of these lens kits for both my M1 Garand and M1A rifles. The sights improved my ability to clearly see both my front sight and target which in-turn helped with my ability to make better target acquisition and accurate shot placement. I have only used the sights to 200 yds but expect to give each a trial out to 600 yds in the near future.

Lens for aging eyes

Had perfect vision until my late 40s. Found this lens as an aid to match shooting and it has helped by creating a sight picture that focuses front sight and improves target clarity. Although not perfectly focused the target is better than the standard peep sight lens I was using. Good improvement and worth the investment. Alternative of course is using a scope which has been approved for CMP competition shooting.

Very Effective Lens System

I purchased this product when they were first introduced about five years ago, and my scores went back up by 40 points. I installed them on my M1A, my Garand, and used the Hood Kit on my Ar15. Even now, with cataracts becoming a problem, they are still a huge help. They are very durable and have not clouded or yellowed out, and. are as clear as the day I installed them. I have found that with cataracts I need more light, and have opened up the sight apertures on my rifles ,010. These lenses have kept me shooting and are a great product. ures on my rifles

I love the end product but finding installation instructions for rear site and lens was frustrating. A video should be on product page. A video download should be available showing fitting of rear site and installation of MISO should be shipped with product.

M1A Micro lens

Easy to install following video guide. The results sharp bull and front sight. Well worth the cost. Lowered my group from 4.0 to slightly under 2.0 at 100 yards sand bag rest and with 155gr A max.
