The Howard Leight Imact Sport earmuff electronically amplifies low-level ambient sounds, such as range commands or normal conversation, while instantly reducing potentially damaging sounds like gunfire. Water-resistant, directionally placed microphones enable the user to pinpoint the location of incoming sounds while maintaining the crisp clarity of voices and other signals. Stereo ear speakers provide superior sound quality and amplification for a more natural sound. The compact, folding design makes storage convenient. There is a single switch for both on/off and volume with an automatic 4-hour shutoff to help to extend the 350 hour battery life. The external battery compartment holds 2 AAA batteries which are included. In addition, there is an external audio input that allows you to connect your own audio source such as a CD player, I-pod, or AM/FM radio. The Impact sport has a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) 22.
