Bought the Schuster High Volume M1 Gas Plug, easily installed, and then able to shoot modern loads, never any issues. A few months later my son was shooting the M1 in local ATC match where the ammo was provided. That was much older, bulk ammo, and he did experience a couple of cycling issues. We simply swapped the Schuster gas plug out with the original, the cycling issue went away. This plug has allowed us to use most any ammo we'd like, and when we still use the older ammo, we just use the original plug.

Installed the high volume gas plug on my M1 Garand, experienced lease re-coil with 150gr FMJ PPU 30.06 Garand ammo. Also shot 20 round of 180gr FMJ PPU 30.06 ammo fired fine with no huge difference in recoil. Both the 150gr and 180gr PPU ammo cycled and ejected fine. Would not recommend shooting higher than 165gr heavy rounds with this Gas Plug.

I guess it works, had one in previous rifle and had no problems or no accuracy glitches. Have never fired factory ammo in garand with this plug

Received and Install this plug Friday. Shot the CMP M1 Garand rifle Saturday, worked well with 150gr PPU, and 180gr PPU Springfield Ammo. Did notice less recoil with 150gr ammo, and had several short cycles but overall please with this plug.

The Schuster High Volume Gas Plug for the m1 Garand allows me the freedom to fire any 30-06 Springfield ammo, commercial or military surplus, through "the greatest battle implement ever devised". Fit and finish are great and the high volume plug is barely discernable from the original. Spent cartridges eject in a controlled fashion and land just a couple feet to my right side. Ordering was easy and shipping was fast. I am 100% satisfied with both the product and Creedmoor Sports. I would definitely recommend.
