This custom made, oak tanned leather military rifle sling is made to Creedmoor's specification for competition shooting. The sling keepers are hand-sewn. Hardware is made to original military specification. The long strap is available in 48" - 56" in length to accommodate shooters with long arms and the adjusting holes are numbered for quick reference. Tan in color.
This sling is very well made from high quality leather. I have used the cheaper leather slings before and this one is by far a superior product. If you want top quality gear, this sling is well worth the asking price.

Turner slings are high quality and perfect for competition shooting. I've used them for years with no complaints. I wrote a previous review recommending softening the sling with neatsfoot oil. I have since learned this is a terrible, terrible idea that gives the sling too much stretch and keeps it from holding tension. So just use the leather dressing Turner provides and keep the sling strong!

If you shoot an AR for HighPower, this is the sling period. I have tried other service rifle slings and none compare. I finally wore out my first Turner after 5 seasons (I should have replaced it after 4). The keepers are tight and so are the holes for the sling hooks. When I lock this sling in and drop both keepers down on the cuff, it's staying put, which is the name of the game in position shooting. The 54" is the length to get and don't be afraid to rachet up the sling pressure as high as you need. It can take it and then some without slipping.

I've been using a Turner sling for years in CMP competitions with my M1 Garand. The one I just bought from Creedmoor is for my 1903A3. Great quality right out of the box. Thick, sturdy leather, heavy-duty methal components, solid stitching. Everything as it should be. These slings come very stiff, so I recommend wiping it down with neatsfoot oil before installing it on your rifle. That'll also make the color a bit darker, as they tend to come a pale tan color. Don't worry, they soften and darken with use. A great sling, and well worth the money.
