Creedmoor Sports Scoring Gauge
The Creedmoor Sports Scoring Gauge is designed to make CMP-compliant scoring of .223 shots quick and consistent. The tapered plug fits cleanly into a .223 hole, while the precision .30 caliber ring at the shoulder provides the correct visual reference for scoring. Molded in bright orange for high visibility and featuring a hole for a key ring, it is easy to keep on hand and quick to locate when scoring targets. 4.7 Scoring and Results4.7.1 Scoring Methods and Standards One of three methods of scoring may be used: a) the manual scoring of paper targets, b) the use of CMP-approved electronic targets (EST) or c) the use of a CMP-approved visual image electronic scoring system (VIS). The Match Program shall designate whether targets will be scored by Scorers in the statistical office or by competitors on the range or in the target pits. All shots fired in one competition must be scored with only one method of scoring. All shots fired in CMP Highpower and Vintage Military Rifle events shall be scored using a standard bullet diameter of .308 in. Shots fired in CMP Pistol events shall be scored according to the diameter of the bullet being fired. Scoring templates, scoring gauges and electronic or VIS targets for Highpower Rifle and Vintage Military Rifle events shall use a standard shot hole diameter of .308 In. to make scoring decisions.
