Creedmoor Sports Arca Mounted Spotting Scope Saver

A common-sense solution to a common problem. The scope mount saver keeps you from stripping out or wearing out the threaded holes in your spotting scope mount. It measures just over 2" x 1 1/2", is made from 3/8" thick 6061 black anodized aluminum.

Shooters typically remove their spotting scopes once they leave the range. Repeatedly inserting a steel mounting screw into an aluminum threaded hole can quickly wear out the threads. Once those threads are destroyed there is very little you can do other than to replace the scope or send it back to the factory for repair.

Some of the higher-end scopes have a steel helicoil lining the hole. The problem with the helicoil is that they have very sharp leading edges that tend to cut into the steel mounting screw, ruining the threads over time.

With our scope mount saver you only attach it one time and leave it attached. It comes with a standard 1/4-20 socket cap screw that recesses and mounts flush.

You have three screw holes to choose from rather than the one you normally get on a mount. So depending on how you orientate the mount, this will allow you to make minor vertical or horizontal adjustments to the scopes position on the mount. Another plus to the additional holes is that should you ever mistakenly strip out one of the holes, you'll have two others to choose from.

And although we designed this for spotting scopes, it will also work great on anything that uses a standard mount, which is everything from cameras to wind meters.

This is a cost effective way of ensuring your scope mount and scope head remain in like-new condition and never leave you in a bind on the range.
