Aluminum patch jags from J. Dewey with female threads, made to screw directly onto Dewey nylon-coated rods that have a male tip. Aluminum contains no copper, so an ammonia-based copper solvent will not turn a patch blue from the jag itself - what you see on the patch is coming from the bore.

Specifications

• All-aluminum construction with a pointed tip to hold the patch
• Female threads: 8/36 on the .22 through 6.5/7mm jags (fits Dewey .22 caliber rods with 8/36 male threads); 12/28 on the .30 caliber jag (fits Dewey .30 caliber rods with 12/28 male threads)
• Available calibers and Dewey part numbers: .22 cal - 22JA; .24/.243/6mm - 24JA; 6.5mm/7mm - 6.5JA; .30 cal - 30JA

If your rod has a female end (such as a Dewey Copper Eliminator rod or most other brands), use the Dewey Male Aluminum Jag instead. Match the jag to your bore diameter and use patches sized for the caliber.
