L.E. Wilson Stainless Standard Case Trimmer

The L.E. Wilson Stainless Case Trimmer is the gold standard for precision case trimming, now offered in a durable stainless steel build. Unlike bench-mounted power trimmers, the Wilson design holds each case in a caliber-specific case holder that simulates the geometry of a rifle chamber, so every cut is square, concentric, and repeatable — case after case, load after load.

Overview

This is the Standard configuration: the trimmer body only, fitted with a fixed standard stop for consistent trim-to-length cutting. The case holder sits in a precision rail system alongside the cutter housing, keeping everything perfectly aligned without the wobble or runout you can get from pilot-guided trimmers. The unit can be held in a bench vise or mounted to the L.E. Wilson Case Trimmer Stand (sold separately) for hands-free operation.

Best Uses & Typical Calibers

Built to accommodate a wide span of cartridges, from .17 caliber varmint rounds up through big-bore .45 caliber cases. Popular applications include:

  • .223 Remington / 5.56 NATO
  • 6mm Creedmoor & 6.5 Creedmoor
  • .308 Winchester
  • .300 Winchester Magnum
  • Benchrest and short-range precision cartridges

Note: each caliber requires its own Wilson case holder (sold separately).

Key Benefits

  • Case holder simulates a rifle chamber for true, concentric trims
  • Rail-guided alignment between case holder and cutter housing
  • Stainless steel construction resists rust and holds up to years of bench use
  • Compatible with a power adapter for use with a drill or screwdriver
  • Expandable — add cutters for inside neck reaming, military crimp removal, or case mouth deburring
  • Made in the USA

Reloading Notes

  • Case holders and the optional Trimmer Stand are sold separately and must match your specific cartridge
  • After trimming, debur the inside and chamfer the outside of the case mouth before seating bullets
  • Use a leather pad or wood block when tapping cases in and out of the holder to protect freshly trimmed mouths
